My name is Duane, and I am a husband of 25 years and father of three wonderful children: ages 12,13 and 17. Being involved in ministry over the past thirty years has given me the privilege of fulfilling the roles of pastor, youth pastor, teacher and principal in a Christian school, worship leader, and even custodian. At the present time my wife and I are the administrative pastors of Forward Ministries in Cary, North Carolina.
I have a burning passion to spread and be a part of the end time revival that God is wanting to pour out in these last days. I am convinced that unless our nation moves off the path it is following we will be destroyed by pressure from within and without. The only way we can put on nation on the right path is if men and women like you and I fulfill the mandate given to Solomon in II Chronicles 7:14, "If my people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land." In other words, the solution is not electing the right individual to office. Instead, it is falling on our faces as the people of God, seeking Him for an end time outpouring. I am convinced that only an outpouring of God's presence and power will change the course of this nation and bring about the true conversion of sinners.
As you can tell, I am passionate about seeking God for an outpouring of revival in these last days. This is why I chose the title, "Burning Tongue", for this blog. You and I will never command the attention of this society by being passive about our relationship with Jesus. Instead, we must be radical and on fire so that the world will come out to see us burn.
